Greenskills Training Centre building is the embodiment of sustainable technology demonstrating this within the architecture, construction, landscaping and engineering principles. The facility received a 6 Star Green Building Council rating with the building itself integral to the education of its students and visitors.
DCI supplied and installed a variety of different wall and ceiling types, depending on the required thermal and acoustic ratings needed to achieve the 6 Star rating the building achieved, and the practical requirement of each of the rooms end-use.
Some of the more specific elements of DCI’s work include:
- Some of the wall types were specially designed to cope with the “star rating” requirements, as well as the unusual height and demanding wind loads.
- The unique design of the “Peel Back” construction required an “out of the box” mindset to frame and line the walls to the towering void areas to include partially exposed substructures.
- As well as the internal framing and lining, DCI provided the framing insulation and cladding of the 9mm Compressed Fibre Cement cladding to the external facade and soffits of this truly unique building.
